Make a Paper flower with Free Downloadable Flower TemplateHere's a quick run down of how I assembled mine. Upload the SVG template in to Cricut Design space and choose the number of layers you want to cut. In this example I made a flower with 3 layers; a 7 petals, 5 petals and a 3 petals. (I actually cut a 7 petals, 6 petals and a 5 petals layers at first which didn't look very nice, so I trimmed down my 6 petals to just 3). Go ahead and cut the petals with the material you like. Here I'm using a medium weight card stock. As you can see, the petals here are 7,6 and 5. So I cut my 6 petals layer to be just 3. You will see what I mean later ;). Next, with a Pen or a pencil or a chopstick (I'm using my Apple pen), start rolling the petals outward and down to give them some volume and a more flowery realistic look. Fold the lower parts of the petals inward. This is where we're going to glue our petals stacked on top of each other. This is what you should have at this stage. Bring the hanging flap at the end to the other side of the petal and glue them together. Continue doing with the rest of the layers. Now flip the the biggest layer and measure the diameter of it's bottom and cut a circle of same size. This will be the base of the flower so go ahead and glue it to your biggest layer. Stack your petals according to size (biggest to smallest). Play around with how you want your petals to sit on top of each other. Once you're happy, Glue them all together. Measure the diameter of the bottom of your smallest layer and cut the flower center similar in size and glue. And that's it! Your flower is now complete! How easy was that?
